Rainbow

WE CAN’T WAIT TO SEE YOU! We’re so proud to have provided childcare for Critical Workers but we are extremely pleased to be able to re-open to all of our families from 1st June.

Our Childcare Rooms

The youngest children in the nursery are cared for in our separate Kindergarten Unit which is divided into various ages and stages of development.

The baby room has an adjacent cot room and its own outdoor space accessed directly from the baby room. This allows our youngest children to settle into nursery life in a calm, nurturing environment. Children of this age need familiar faces, carers who know them well as individuals. Consistency of care for all children in the nursery is very important, but it is absolutely essential with our youngest children.

At 12 months old children will move through to the Younger Kindergarten Room where the children are free to explore and learn in a safe and stimulating environment with its own outdoor space.

When the children are about 18 months old they will be based in our Older Kindergarten Room where they can enjoy fun and stimulating activities with direct access to our safe but exciting outdoor play area.

We have two Toddler Units which are located on the ground floor in large open plan rooms. There are different areas in each room providing new experiences which help to keep the children stimulated and engaged. Each toddler room has its own outdoor play space which is used every day.

This is the time when most children go through the toilet training process and our toddler team are able to work with parents in order to make this transition as smooth as possible and each room has its own toileting facilities.

Parents and children can take the stairs or lift to our Pre-school Unit on the first floor. The unit has two large, open plan rooms both with easy access to the outdoor play space. There are opportunities for children to share and form relationships, make choices, to discuss and experiment, to ask questions, to develop essential physical and manipulative skills, to learn through play and planned activities, to communicate and to concentrate and persevere.

Our Dumers Lane nursery also has a Sensory Room which all the children love to use and an additional Play Room which is used for dance and movement activities. The play room also has its own outdoor area in the balcony over the nursery entrance.

Mulberry Bush Nursery Group are a group of five family run and owned children’s nurseries based in Bury, Lancashire. Founded in 1990, we are the longest established nursery group in the North West.
