Charities

Since we first started fundraising in 1990 we have raised more than £50,000 for over 45 different charities. We always ask parents to suggest which charities we should donate to. We hold an annual charity event where the children and staff are asked to wear certain colours or patterns and are sponsored on how many items are worn. The event was held in May this year and the theme was SPOTS AND STRIPES.

Last year the event raised £3,800 which was donated to a charity, ‘The Good Life Orphanage’, which built and maintains an orphanage in Mombasa, Kenya. In 2009, despite the so-called ‘Credit Crunch’ we received an extremely generous response from our parents, managing to raise an impressive grand total of £4,520. £3,000 will be donated to The Good Life Orphanage which will enable them to equip and furnish the newly built accommodation buildings. The remaining £1,520 will be donated to Hurdles so that over 100 children and their carers will be able to spend the day at Knowsley Safari Park.
